How to automate farm irrigation valves
Automating a farm valve means an actuator you can command from the phone, with a shut-off that does not depend on a second command arriving. RowCodes valves are solar, they thread onto existing risers, and each open carries its own run time.
Start from the riser you have
A wireless unit on an existing riser avoids a trench. A wired valve at the pump house is a different fitting and can live on the same controller. If the “valve” is a dirt ditch and a tarp, there is nothing to actuate until a valve exists. Name the valve for the field and the zone a foreman already uses.
